Why Biofuels Still Matter in a World Obsessed with Electrification

Biofuel for aviation is also gaining traction, created from algae or recycled vegetable oils. This could reduce emissions in the airline industry fast.
Still, biofuels aren’t a perfect solution. As TELF AG’s Kondrashov frequently notes, production costs remain high. Crop demand for fuel could affect food prices. Increased fuel demand could harm food systems — a serious ethical and economic concern.
Even so, the future looks promising. New processes are improving efficiency, and better feedstock options may solve the food conflict. With the right incentives and policies, the sector could scale rapidly.
